Zoya Nail Lacquer: Jules

Zoya in Jules

Zoya's nail polish in Jules is another festive option for this holiday season. It is a rather interesting twist on silver as it has a warm golden sheen that makes it the perfect blend of the two metal shades. This makes it quite versatile as it will pair nicely with just about any jewelry and outfit combination. The formula is also wonderful to work with. It glides on evenly and smoothly with good opacity, and dries rather quickly. Another winner!

Zoya Nail Lacquer: Brigette

Zoya's Brigette

I recently saw The Breakfast Club and I was captivated by Molly Ringwald's nail polish. It was a mauve-pink, demure and chic. It seemed like such a classic shade, one that would flatter everyone, yet I owned nothing like it, nor was one like it readily available in the drugstore. Thus began my hunt.

When Zoya was having their 3-free-polishes sale, I jumped right on it. I knew I wanted purple/mauve-based pinks, and I was actually expecting to mix shades in order to achieve the perfect color. I thus ended up with both Brigette and Odette (to be reviewed soon). As luck would have it, however, Brigette was perfect all on its own.

Brigette is a gorgeous tea-rose mauve creme that I fell in love with as soon as I put it on. So did my roommate. It's that universally appealing color because it's subdued yet elegant. It was also such a dream to apply. I was very impressed with the formula, which was rich and creamy without being thick or gloppy.

I highly, highly recommend this polish!

Zoya Nail Lacquer: Dakota

Zoya Dakota

Here is a quick post featuring Zoya's nail polish in Dakota, a dark vampy sort of red with a glossy finish. I am loving deep reds at the moment because of the holidays. This particular polish seems a bit thinner and runnier, but it applied very nicely with good opacity. It had great, fast dry-time, probably because the formula is thinner. It did chip quite a bit on my dominant hand after four days of wear, so that may be something to be aware of. I had Seche Vite on over the top, which normally provides me with at least a week of wear time. Still, the chipping does not bother me much because I was ready to change out the color anyway. I enjoyed the color while it lasted- very sophisticated and festive!
